Gennady GGG Golovkin cancels April fight with Andy Lee After Father's Death

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin ( 29-0 , 26 Kos) is taking an extended break from boxing and will not fight Andy Lee on April 26 in New York, according to Tom Loeffler, Kazakh boxer's promoter.

The middleweight champion and popular slugger is in mourning over the Feb. 18 death by heart attack of his father, Gennady Ivanovich Golovkin.

Recall that Gennady's last fight took place on February 1 the current year when he stopped Osumanu Adam after 7 rounds.
