Geological research centre will open in Kazakhstan
In the course of preliminary negotiations, the parties have identified a wide range of mutual interests. The Ministry of Industry and New Technologies is committed to creation and development of geological research center in the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana under "Kazgeologiya" JSC at the Nazarbayev University. In turn, the company "Rio Tinto" will take part in the Advisory Council on establishing the center, and will attract a transfer of expertise and the latest technology.
"Center of Geological Survey of Kazakhstan on the high-tech industrial site will allow the University to conduct research and production geological research, plan and design geological work, as well as to analyze, summarize geological data, computer modeling and other work in the field of geological study," says the press service of "Kazgeologiya."
We are reminding that in February of this year "National Geological Prospecting Company "Kazgeologiya" JSC and the British mining company "Rio Tinto" have inked the contract on creation of two joint ventures for search for large deposits in two areas of the Karaganda region - Balkhash Saryshagan and Korgantas.
"Rio Tinto" is a global mining company with many years of experience, aimed at use of advanced technologies in the field of geology and resource estimation.
