Georgian Airways launches daily flights to Moscow's Vnukovo airport

MOSCOW. April 18. KAZINFORM Georgian Airways has launched daily air service with Moscow, the Vnukovo airport outside Moscow said in a release on Wednesday.

Starting from Wednesday, Georgian Airways will make daily flights to Vnukovo. The flights will be performed by Boeing 737-500 jets.

Flights to Tbilisi are also performed by Russia's Sibir (S7 Airlines).

Vnukovo is one of Moscow's biggest airports. The city government holds the majority stake in the airport (75 percent).

In the spring of 2011, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin announced plans to unite two Moscow airports, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo, into a single cluster, Itar-Tass reports.
