German FM arrives in Baghdad for two-day visit

BAGHDAD. February 17. KAZINFORM Germany's Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Baghdad on Tuesday morning, an Iraqi Foreign Ministry source said.

Steinmeier is expected to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and some senior Iraqi officials, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity; Kazinform cites Xinhua. During his two-day visit, the minister is also expected to visit Iraq's northern semi-autonomous region and will meet with Kurdish leaders, the source added.
