Global Media Congress to highlight AI's role in shaping future of content creation

AI and its impact on content creation, news production, and reliability will be a key focus at the third edition of the GMC, taking place from November 26th to 28th in Abu Dhabi. The event aims to promote the responsible use of AI technologies.
The GMC's Media Future Labs, a series of 60-minute roundtable discussions, will bring together industry leaders and policymakers. The Innovation Platform will showcase groundbreaking ideas and solutions. Early-stage and growth-stage startups will present innovative solutions tailored to the media industry.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Ahmed Gamal, Business Development Manager- Nvidia AI solutions at Advanced Integration, highlighted the significance of the AI-powered VGLNT tool, launched in the UAE ahead of the GMC. “This tool aims to enhance news accuracy and combat misinformation.”
Gamal emphasised the importance of the GMC as a platform to share innovative solutions like VGLNT, which are crucial in the age of social media. Such forums align with the UAE's commitment to providing innovative technical solutions to address modern media challenges and strengthen journalism.
Elaborating on the same point, Dr. Mohammad Ayesh, from the American University of Sharjah, highlighted the profound impact of AI on the media industry and its relevance to media education. He underscored the importance of integrating AI into future media curricula to equip media professionals with the necessary skills.
