Golden woman unique jewelry unearthed in W Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Remnants of a golden woman were unearthed in the Terekty district, West Kazakhstan region in 2012, Moy gorod portal reports referring to director of the regional history and archeology museum Murat Sdykov.

The old tomb is dated back to the Sarmat period. Above 80 golden jewelry were found inside. The most unique thing discovered is a comb that is second to none. It features a battle scene of that period between Saks and Persians. Preliminary report dates back the grave to 4-5 century B.C. Archeologists found also horse reins, everyday items, clothes and belongings all of which people believed they would need in the after-life.
