Golovkin defended his title of WBA world middleweight champion knocking out Simon in the first round

ASTANA. December 12. KAZINFORM WBA world middleweight champion 29-year-old Gennady Golovkin from Kazakhstan has defended his title against 32-year old American Lajuan Simon, winning him by knockout in the first round; Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.

The bout was held on Saturday, December 10, and lasted more than two minutes. During his attack L. Simon missed a powerful left hook and was in the deepest knockout on the floor of the ring. The American was not able to stand up at the end of the count of ten.
