Golovkin easily blasts out Geale in three rounds
NEW YORK. KAZINFORM In the most impressive victory of his career, WBA/IBO Gennady Golovkin (30-0, 27KOs) blasted out two-time middleweight beltholder Daniel Geale (30-3, 16KOs) in the third round.
Geale suffered a cut above his right eye from a clash of heads in the first. Golovkin unloaded at the start of the second and knocked Geale down. From that point, Golovkin controlled the pace and he was walking Geale down. In the third, a combination sent Geale crashing down hard on his back from a vicious right hand. Geale made it up, but he had no legs and the fight was stopped. Geale was the most experienced and seen as the most dangerous opponent of Golovkin's career, but the hard puncher from Kazakhstan made it look easy - with his strong jab and hard punches that were coming from both hands, boxing.sporttu.com reports.
