Government agencies to have unified information 'cloud'
"The government has supported the transition to the service model, that is, all state agencies will be users of IT- services, and they will not create their own information systems and acquire equipment. Each state agency will take care of their own activities", B.Kurmangalieva said a briefing at the Service of central communications under the RK President. According to her, the service model will optimize all state assets in the field of information and communication technologies, in particular, it will improve the utilization of the so-called use of server capacity, increase the use of licensed software resources and improve the quality and level of IT- services. "We want to create a public information "cloud," it is a closed, secure infrastructure, integrated, scaled, reliable and stable. And each state agency will be able to receive services related to all of its functions and public services. The law also will provide a regulation which must be observed by all those who use information technologies", B.Kurmangalieva added. She noted that the Government introduced a draft law "On informatization".
