Government allocates KZT 3bln for Zhanaozen rehabilitation - Nazarbayev
ASTANA. December 22. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has conducted a session on rehabilitation of Zhanaozen town, Mangystau region, on Thursday in Astana, the Presidential press service told Kazinform.
Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov, Senate Chairman Kairat Mami, head of Presidential Administration Aslan Mussin and other top officials attended the meeting.
Nazarbayev noted that the special governmental commission headed by First Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev visited Mangystau region, held meetings with the residents and studied the situation. The Government approved a special action plan on mitigation of the aftermath of the riots and rehabilitation of Zhanaozen. More than KZT 3 billion was allocated for this purpose.
