Government and akims efficiency to be judged by people’s living standards, President
The expanded meeting of the Kazakh Government under the chairmanship of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, kicked off in Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The Head of State said the expanded meeting is held amid drastic changes occurring worldwide.
The global processes may have a profound effect on the country’s economic situation. We should bear in mind that the transition to a new technological order based on total digitalization will lead to brand-new realias in the world. We should be ready for that, the President said.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted successful adaptation to new realities will become a shaping factor of the country’s competitiveness and sustainable progress.
He said the efficiency of the Government and akims (governors and mayors) will be judged first of all by economic development and improvement in people’s living standards.
The President stressed today’s meeting is called to sum up 2024 and outline new pressing tasks to be tackled within a very short time.
As written before, on January 23 Kazakh Prime Minister Bektenov chaired a meeting to discuss sustainable economic growth.
