Government reshuffle to create more comfortable business conditions

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami, the Akorda press service said.

The sides debated results of the work of the courts for the first six months of 2014, the current activity of the Supreme Court and its tasks for the period ahead. The Head of State stressed that the court system holds a specific place in updating state administration, settling socioeconomic problems, protection of small and medium-sized business and investors, creating optimal conditions. The President noted that the government reshuffle, its transition to a compact composition are aimed at creating more comfortable business conditions. In his turn, Mami reported on administration of justice in the country. For the past six months the number of petitions and cases increased by 9,5% against the same period of 2013. The number of civil cases involving mediation increased from 475 to 1911. Besides, he informed of preparations for the IX meeting of the chairmen of SCO supreme courts that will be held on September 4-5 in Astana. Following the results of the meeting the Head of State gave Mami certain tasks.
