Government to reduce rate of mineral extraction tax: B.Zhamishev

ASTANA. January 29. KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova/ ?The Kazakh Government prepares decisions on reduction of the rate of mineral extraction tax in ore mining and smelting industry?, Kazakh Minister of Finance Bolat Zhamishev has said today at the sitting of the board of the Ministry, Kazinform reports.

?Within the period of adverse conjuncture subsurface users of distressed minefields will get decreasing coefficients within the mineral extraction tax assessment?, B.Zhamishev said. He noted that the reduction will not be lower then the tax burden, functioned earlier. The amount of suggested reduction of tax rates in the ore mining sector of the country is estimated at KZT 25 bln.
