Governor of Karaganda region wishes residents Happy Easter

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Akim (governor) of Karaganda region Nurmukhambet Abdibekov has visited an orthodox church in Karaganda city and congratulated Orthodox Christians on Easter today.

"Easter has longstanding traditions and symbolizes spiritual renewal. It fill peoples' hearts with love and joy and inspires them to do good things," Mr. Abdibekov said in his congratulatory speech. The governor reminded the words of President Nazarbayev that ‘we are one nation, one country and have one destiny'. "Many years ago Kazakhstan chose the path of peace and accord. The Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan together with representatives of other traditional religions exerts efforts to strengthen spiritual health of the citizens as well as peace and accord in the society," he added. In conclusion, he wished those present Happy Easter.
