Governor of North Kazakhstan region took part in telephone conference of Government

ROPAVLOVSK. August 18. KAZINFORM /Sergey Kuznetsov/ Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has held a telephone conference of the Government upon the results of socio-economic development and implementation of the state budget over the first half of 2009 and tasks for the second half of the year. Governor of North Kazakhstan region Serik Belyalov and heads of the regional departments took part in the telephone conference of the Government.

Heads of a range of ministries, management of the National Bank, "SamrukKazyna" Fund, "KazAgro" National Holding reported on the work done in the first half of the year, i.e. implementation of the national budget and the tasks of the Head of the State on realization of the Antirecessionary program and sustainable economic development of Kazakhstan in the world financial crisis.  

Measures on suppression of prices for basic products were discussed at the conference as well. It was stated the despite taken measures growth of prices for basic products is observed in some regions of the republic, including North Kazakhstan region, Astana and Almaty.    

Summing up the results of the conference the Head of the Government noted that in accordance with the tasks of the President addressed to the Government and financial structures, the negative forecast for the first half of the year was not confirmed, and the March, April indices show the breaking point in the crisis processes of the economy. Provision of the economic growth, employment of the population, creation of new jobs remain to be the main tasks for today.
