Governor of Pavlodar region and USAID representative discussed development of NGOs in region

PAVLODAR. KAZINFORM - Governor of Pavlodar region Kanat Bozumbayev met with Jonathon Eddleton, the Mission Director to the Central Asian Republics Regional Mission based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the press service of the regional administration informs.

During the meeting, the head of the region noted the importance of the activity of the USAID that helped to establish a better civil society. "The activity of non-governmental organizations engaged in the issues of support of the youth policy, education, healthcare and formation of the healthy lifestyle, ecology and protection of the environment, protection of the rights and legal assistance, work with elderly people and disabled people, gender policy, development of culture and others is very relevant now. Currently, we have over 660 non-governmental organizations registered in the region," the head of the region said. The Head of the USAID, in turn, emphasized the readiness of the American side to continue to render support in development of non-governmental organizations of the region.
