Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis to visit Kazakhstan
On the sidelines of the COP29 climate summit in Baku, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of Greece, Akorda reports.
During the meeting, the Kazakh leader called Greece as a reliable partner of Kazakhstan in the EU, highlighting that Athens is among the top five trade partners of Astana in the EU.
In turn, Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted huge potential for strengthening Kazakh-Greek cooperation and expressed readiness to expand interaction in the entire range of the countries’ bilateral agenda.
Both sides confirmed their commitment to fostering trade and economic, investment and cultural and humanitarian ties as well as highlighted the importance of diversifying mutual trade. An exchange of views on issues of energy and economic decarbonization took place.
The meeting’s participants agreed to maintain active political dialogue, with the Greek Premier accepting the Kazakh leader’s invitation to make a visit to Kazakhstan.
