According to Grigory Rapota, the signing of the document should simplify the work of the agricultural sector. "The document is particularly aimed at avoiding any difficulties and trade wars. It is clear that the legal system and the law enforcement practice take time to unite. A word in the form of a document is always needed to make something work. The document has been signed, and now the signatories have something to lean on in building up their relations," Grigory Rapota said.

This opinion was echoed by Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Leonid Zayats. During his visit to Belagro 2014 expo in OAO Gastellovskoye, the minister said: "I am confident there will be no wars of the kind. We should together work out a policy and move forward." According to the minister, the counterparts should build up relations based on complementarity, not competition, BelTA informs.

"At present we have competition in milk with Russia. We complete the deficit of this product on the Russian market. Our volumes do not affect the national producer and our prices on the market of Russia are not dumping," Leonid Zayats said.
