Ground frosts expected in Kazakhstan Sep 18

Mets issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan for September 18, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Kazhydromet.

The vast anticyclone brings the weather without precipitations to the country’s greater part.

The south, east, and southeast of Kazakhstan are set to brace for rains and thunderstorms today. Fog is expected to blanket the country’s north, east, and mountainous districts in the southeast in the morning and at nighttime.

Ground frosts with air temperature dropping to 1-6 degrees are predicted to form in East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Abai, Kostanay, Akmola and Zhetysu regions.

The high fire hazard is in effect in Aktobe, Ulytau, Zhetysu, West Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, and Kostanay regions. The extremely high fire threat remains in Kyzylorda, Turkistan, Zhambyl, Atyrau, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Ulytau, Abai, Zhetysu, Aktobe, and Almaty regions.
