Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov urges to create effective tools to fight emerging threats

 Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan (Halk Maslahaty) called for effective tools to fight emerging threats, joint efforts of states, Kazinform Agency correspondent reports. 

The policy of strategic situations is emerging in different corners of the world, including in the regions close to our countries. As a result, the world community faces different global challenges and threats, said Berdimuhamedov at the 10^th Anniversary Summit of the Organization of the Turkic States (OTS). 

The chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan called for joint efforts of states, thorough assessment of the emerging political situations, and necessary decisions to address these problems, affecting the universal peace and security system.

Therefore, it’s necessary to create effective tools to fight the emerging threats, develop joint efforts, concrete approaches and plans based on the international legal norms, especially the UN Charter, he concluded. 

Kazakhstan today held the 10^th Anniversary Summit of the Organization of the Turkic States (OTS) in its capital of Astana.
