HC Barys stunned by Davos in shootout

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - HC Barys Astana have lost to HC Davos 5:6 in the second friendly match in Switzerland, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.

HC Davos outshot the Kazakh squad 3:1 during a wild first period. In the second stanza Mike Lundin and Konstantin Rudenko scored the equalizers. But, then, Davos took over the Barys net in the dying seconds of the second period. The third period was pretty intense with teams exchanging pucks and Barys hitting Davos net twice. The fate of the match was determined only in the shootout series where the odds were in Davos' favor. It is worth mentioning that the Astana-based club won the first friendly vs. Davos 4:3. HC Barys and their new head coach Andrey Nazarov are currently at a training camp in Switzerland.
