Head of National Bank reports to President on financial sector situation

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received the Head of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Kairat Kelimbetov, Akorda informs.

"The round table discussed the status of the financial sector and the banking system as well as the situation on international financial markets", the statement reads. K.Kelimbetov reported that in February 2014, gross international reserves of the National Bank increased by 6.1% - to USD 26 billion. International reserves of the country including the National Fund assets in foreign currency grew by 2.1% - to USD 97.6 billion.
