Head of State condoles with Montenegro over deadly shooting accident

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev offered condolences to President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Akorda press service.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with deep sorrow learned about the deadly shooting accident that occurred in the town of Cetinje in Montenegro killing at least 10 people, including two children.

The Head of State expressed sincere condolences to the people of Montenegro and bereaved families and wished those injured speedy recovery.

As earlier reported, two children were among at least 10 people killed in a mass shooting that started at a restaurant in the small town of Cetinje in Montenegro and continued at three different locations, authorities said.

A local man suspected of carrying out the shootings, identified by police as Aleksandar Martinovic, 45, was confirmed to have died early on Thursday morning after turning the gun on himself and dying from his injuries while being transported to hospital.

As previously stated, the Head of State sent a letter of condolences to U.S. President Joe Biden over a deadly truck attack in New Orleans.
