Head of State meets with Zhetysu volleyball club players
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the training sports complex of the Zhetysu volleyball club, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Opened this year, the facility is worth 1.2 billion tenge and has an area of 1,639.4 sq.m. The training sports complex’s main building has three floors and is intended to host training sessions and health and fitness activities.
The complex has sports and exercise halls, medical and administrative rooms.
The President was also familiarized with the accommodation unit with an area of 3,866.5 sq.m. built at the expense of the private investor for athletes. It houses a dining room, study rooms and a rest zone.
In his talk with the coaches and athletes, the Head of State commended the high results of the team Zhetysu, highlighting that all necessary conditions have been created for volleyball players in the region, who previously were forced to travel to Almaty for training sessions.
Tokayev wished the volleyball players to show good results at the international arena as well as achieve victories in the upcoming competitions.
For their part, the Zhetysu team’s players thanked President Tokayev for creating favorable conditions and asked him to sign a ball.
