Kazakh President sends letter of condolences to Indian PM
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev offered condolences to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the stampede incident in Hathras, India, that took the lives of over 120 people, Akorda reports.
I was deeply saddened by the tragic news of multiple human casualties as a result of a stampede at a religious gathering in Uttar Pradesh state. On behalf of Kazakhstanis and personally I send sincere condolences to the family members of those died as well as wish a speedy recovery to those injured, reads the letter.
To note, over 120 people, mostly women, died at a religious event for a Hindu guru in Uttar Pradesh city of Hathras.
