Head of State Tokayev briefed on plans for developing social-labor sphere in the country
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed about new mechanisms for targeted social assistance provision, contributing to better targeting and timeliness of such assistance, Akorda reports.
Svetlana Zhakupova, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan, informed that licensing for special social services centers with per capita funding is set to be introduced starting from January 1, 2025. To that end, professional standards and training modules were developed.
Under the 2030 Inclusive Policy Concept, a social and human rights model of understanding disability is being introduced.
The President was briefed about the measures aimed at promoting employment. According to the Kazakh minister, 804,000 people, including over 200,000 young people, have been provided with jobs in 2024. Nearly 9,000 citizens, including persons with disabilities and parents with children with special needs, have received grants for carrying our business ideas.
The Head of State was informed about the Innovative Project Navigator, developed for better efficiency of state investments and quality planning. The system analyzes and predicts the need for personnel as well as ensures coordination, control of quality and monitoring of project efficiency. With the help of platform, 775 investment projects worth 33 trillion tenge, which are set to create up to 150,000 jobs, are already being tracked. It also helps eliminate unfair suppliers, lacking the workforce required.
The minister also spoke about the work of the Digital Labor Risk Map, which helps avoid labor conflicts.
Following the meeting, Tokayev gave a number of instructions aimed at improving the social policy and increasing the efficiency of measures in the social ad labor sphere.
