Head of State Tokayev meets with President of Moldova Maia Sandu

On the sidelines of the COP29 climate summit in Baku, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a talk with Moldovan counterpart Maia Sandu, Akorda reports.

During the meeting, prospects for expanding traditionally friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Moldova, especially in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, were discussed.

According to Maia Sandu, the opening of the embassy of Moldova in Astana next year will contribute to further development of bilateral cooperation.

The interlocutors agreed to organize mutual visits at the highest level.

Earlier it was reported that the Moldovan government approved opening its embassy in Kazakhstan, set to be located in Astana.
