Head of State Tokayev visits school-gymnasium in Kosshy town

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev started his working trip to Akmola region with a visit to the 1,500-place school-gymnasium in the town of Kosshy, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

Located in the new neighborhood of Kosshy town, the school-gymnasium was built at the expense of private investments from the Bultat Utemuratov Foundation and transferred to the management of the local education department.

Built under the Comfortable School project, the school is attended by 2,700 students in two shifts. The educational facility has an assembly room for 280 sits, dining room for 360 sits, two sports halls, as well as informatics, chemistry, physics, biology, technology and music rooms.

According to the school’s director Didar Asskarova, under the Single Education Program, students are able to attend free-of-charge sports as well as chess, togyzkumalak, asyk atu, dancing, choir, piano and dombra clubs.

During his visit, the Head of State inspected robotics, mobilography, virtual driving instruction, foreign language rooms as well as a library. He talked to teachers and students as well.

For Kazakhstan to become an advanced state, it is necessary to study key areas such as robotics. This knowledge will always be in demand. The young generation should always strive for knowledge, said Tokayev.
