Head of State visits Shokan Ualikhanov Altynemel memorial museum in Zhetysu rgn
As part of his visit to Zhetysu region, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev got familiarized with the historic documents on the life, creative work, and military service as well as the historic and ethnographic, geographic research and the last years of life of Shokan Ualikhanov, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.
During the visit, Tokayev noted that hi is well-aware of the research works of the scholar. He also pointed out the importance of replenishing the museum’s fund with exhibits.
The Kazakh Head of State made a memorable entry in the Book of Honored Guests and held a talk with the museum’s personnel.
Last year, upon the President’s instruction the road leading to the museum and the cultural and tourist facility underwent repairs.
