Heads of over 10 Uzbek universities paying visit to Brussels
A delegation of heads of over 10 universities of Uzbekistan is paying a visit to Brussels as part of the educational program of the Belgian Educational Council, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
On November 22, the Uzbek embassy in Brussels held a presentation dedicated to the prospects for developing cooperation of the country’s universities with European companies and universities as well as expanding their ties with the EU in the innovative education sphere.
Attending the event were representative of the European Parliament, European Commission, European External Relations Service, Belgian Educational Council, expert and analytical circles, and media. Presentations were made by heads of a number of Uzbek universities, including Urgench State University, Alfraganus University, and so on.
Representatives of the EU institutions were briefed about the opportunities and prospects of development of Uzbek universities, their plans of establishing partnership ties with leading universities of European countries and institutions.
Following the event, 20 memorandums of mutual understanding and cooperation were signed between Uzbek universities and the Belgian Educational Council.
