Health Ministry, RK pharmaceutical associations concluded memo of keeping prices for medicaments down
ASTANA. February 12. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ Today the Ministry of Healthcare of Kazakhstan and pharmaceutical associations of the country have concluded a memorandum of keeping down the prices for medicaments and continuous provision of the population with pharmaceuticals, Kazinform correspondent reports.
?The Memorandum was concluded for a year. The medicaments produced in Kazakhstan will not rise in price. Prices for the medicaments and equipment imported before devaluation will not be raised as well?, Minister Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev said.
Along with this, the Minister noted that Kazakhstan depends on import of medicaments up to 85-90%. ?We will lower the rate of appreciation of the medicaments by about 12%?, he added.
According to President of ?FarmIndustryKazakhstan? Association Serik Sultanov, the Memorandum provides with the formation of a mechanism of state order for domestic production. ?Every third medicament bought by Kazakhstanis is produced in our country. We are ready to increase production of medicaments twofold provided that there is a state order for them?, he said.
