Health Ministry suggests switching to online learning kids not vaccinated against measles
The country is observing growing cases of measles among children attending educational facilities, Kazinform Agency correspondent reports.
In its response to the official inquiry of Kazinform Agency, the health ministry of the country recommends transitioning to online learning those unvaccinated or coming into contact with those infected in order to separate children and prevent the spread of measles in groups.
There are no schools closed for quarantine across the country, the health ministry informed in its response.
Due to rising measles cases, unvaccinated students switch to online classes at schools in the city of Almaty.
Of those kids infected with measles, unvaccinated account for 60% due to refusal… As of today, around nine thousand kids have refused to get routine preventive vaccines. Thanks to the awareness-raising work on the importance of the vaccines, over 3 thousand kids have received vaccines.
