‘Health towns’ start operation in Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - April 7 Astana will celebrate the World Health Day under the motto "I am for healthy lifestyle", according to the website of Astana city administration.

This event is celebrated in Kazakhstan under the state program of healthcare development "Salamatty Kazakhstan" for 2011-2015. The Health Day will be celebrated in the capital's shopping and entertainment center "Keruen". There will be organized "health towns" where people will have consultations with different medical specialists. In addition medical workers will measure persons' blood pressure and determine blood sugar and cholesterol levels. The program also includes master classes on wellness programs, as well as various contests, quizzes, a flash mob, and sports events aimed at improving public health. It should be noted that in the framework of the World Health Day local medical will start a campaign of open doors' days.
