ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Healthy lifestyle can prevent 40% of oncological diseases, director of the National Center of Healthy Lifestyle Zhamilya Battakova said.

"In particular, scientists proved that smoking can increase lung cancer 10 times. Thus, tobacco in its forms can reduce life expectancy 10-15 times. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the risk factors," she noted.
According to the Ministry of Healthcare of Kazakhstan, there are 150436 people suffering from oncological diseases are living in Kazakhstan, as of January 1, 2015. Last year, over 2000 cases of cancer were diagnosed. According to doctors, it is 200 times cheaper to treat cancer at early stage than the disease when it has already developed in a more complicated form in the organism.
