Heating furnace failure kills family of 3

A family of three members died from a faulty heating furnace in the village of Sochinskoe, Akmola region, Kazinform News Agency quotes head of the regional emergency department Kanat Dospayev as saying.

Firefighters suppressed 254 house fires, and rescued 20 people, including five children during the heating season of 2023-2024 in Akmola region.

The common causes of fires are faulty heating furnaces, improper installation and technical operation of electrical equipment, and careless handling of fire.

Another tragic accident occurred in Shchuchinsk town leaving two adults dead.
