Heavy fire rips through storage facilities in Shymkent

SHYMKENT. KAZINFORM - Storage facilities of Sanzhar LLP located near a railway station in Shymkent are on fire.

The storage buildings with pasta, stationery and office supplies, car tires and engine oil caught fire at 14:00 p.m. The witnesses say the owners of goods tried to save it from fire, but the blaze engulfed the buildings too quickly.

Firefighters summoned to the scene are battling the flames. The nearest railway lines were shut down due to the fire. It already damaged the area of 1 300 square meters. It is still unclear what caused the blaze.
