Heavy snow, ice-slick and ground blizzard in store for Kazakhstan on Monday

Mets issued a weather forecast for Kazakhstan on December 9, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.

The country’s east is set to brace for heavy snowfall, the southeast snow, while the central part of Kazakhstan is expected to brace for snow, ice-slick and ground blizzard.

The west of Kazakhstan is predicted to observe weather without precipitation.

Fog and high wind are in store for Kazakhstan on Monday.

As earlier reported, classes at 0-4 grades in the Kazakh capital are to be held online due to unfavorable weather conditions.

Astana-Taldykorgan flight was also canceled due to bad weather conditions.

A storm alert is in effect in Astana and 12 regions of Kazakhstan on December 9. Due to fronts, unstable weather conditions lingered in the country’s east, bringing snow. The southeast and east brace for heavy snow, black ice and ground blizzard.
