Helsinki commemorates Kazakhstan's Independence Day

Dignitaries of the presidential administration, government, and parliament of Finland, social and political figures, businessmen, reps of diplomatic corps, mass media and the Kazakh diaspora in Finland were in attendance, the Embassy's press release reads.
In his speech of welcome, Kazakh Ambassador Galymzhan Koishybayev drew attention of those present to Kazakhstan's achievements, international initiatives of President Nazarbayev and gradual development of the bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Finland.
The Kazakh diplomat urged Finnish businessmen to play a more active role in joint projects on the development of green economy and energy-saving technologies which is especially important in terms of preparation for the international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
Guests of the evening enjoyed performances by students of the Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and traditional dishes of national cuisine.
