Hiddink's future unclear after Russian World Cup loss

MOSCOW. November 19. KAZINFORM Guus Hiddink has said he will decide on his future as coach of the Russian national side in February; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

The Dutchman's contract runs until July 2010, but after Russia lost 1-0 in Slovenia on Wednesday night and failed to make the 2010 World Cup, speculation has grown that Hiddink may leave. The Russian FA has said it wants him to lead the side's Euro 2012 campaign.

"I have an existing contract until the end of the World Cup finals in July 2010. The question of whether I will continue to UEFA Euro 2012 will require some time for thought," Hiddink told reporters after the game; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
