Holding Asian Games gives opportunity to Kazakhstan to become large sports power - PM
Prime Ministrer Karim Massimov has said it at an enlarged session of the faction of Nur Otan People's Democratic Party.
"Very large resources were allocated from the national and local budgets for holding the Asian Games. I think that those facilities that we get give opportunity to Kazakhstan to become a large sports power", K.Massimov said.
The Prime Minister noted that after the Asian Games the sports facilities will remain in the national or municipal property.
"It is necessary to attract managers of the sports facilities to carry out large events for maintaining facilities through holding events. This gives indirect effect - develops tourism, gives new opportunity for general development", the Premier added.
According to K.Massimov, in the perspective Kazakhstan can hold larger sports events during 10-15 years in case of additional construction of some facilities.
