Holding Summit in Astana is great success of Kazakhstan as well as OSCE - OSCE PA President Emeritus Joao Soares

ASTANA. November 30. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Holding the Summit in Astana is not only great success of Kazakhstan, but great success of the OSCE. President Emeritus of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Joao Soares has said it at the session of the OSCE PA Bureau in the Palace of Independence.

"You really worked very professionally. It is great honor for us that PA Vice Chairman Kassym-Jomart Tokayev played significant role during this year", J.Soares said.

He noted that he backed an idea of holding the Summit in Astana immediately, though many did not support it. But owing to strategic will of President N.Nazarbayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs K.Saudabayev, parliamentarians and Senate Speaker K.tokayev, the Parliamentary Assembly supported the idea of holding the OSCE Summit. In opinion of J.Soares, holding the Summit in Astana is not only great success of Kazakhstan, but great success of the OSCE.
