Hong Kong and Kazakhstan visa free travel, more flights

HONG KONG. August 1. KAZINFORM Travel between Hong Kong and Kazakhstan is expected to grow with Air Astana launching direct flights and travellers can enjoy visa free travel between the two countries for a period of 14 days, effective now.

Signed in May 2012, the visa free agreement between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Kazakhstan governments allows passport holders from the respective countries travel under the visa free agreement.

That together with increased flights by Air Astana ?will make travel between the two countries easier.

The launch of twice weekly flights by Air Astana between Almaty and Hong Kong will begin service on 28th August and operated by Boeing 757 configured in a 16 business class / 150 economy class configuration, Kazinform cites Travel Blackboard Asia.

These flights further open up the countries with partner airlines to southern China and south east Asia through Hong Kong and a rapidly expanding network from Almaty to international services to Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus, as well as a host of domestic destinations.

Flights from Hong Kong to Almaty and return will operate on a Tuesday and Friday.
