How much did it cost to live in gutted Almaty hostel
Death of 13 people in the Almaty hostel fire on early Thrusday morning shook the entire country. Nine of the victims were the nationals of Kazakhstan, two were the nationals of Russia and two more were Uzbek citizens, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The hostel is located on 86, Sharipov Street, in Almaly district of Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan.
The facility named as Almaty Hostel is basically a basement area with no windows of a 3-storey residential building. According to the data provided by 2Gis service, the price of staying at the hostel ranges from 2,000 tenge or $4.35 to 10,000 tenge or $21,74 per night, while it has a 100-bed capacity.
According to the chief of the municipal emergencies department, the hostel began operating a month and a half ago. Nationals of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Kazakhstan lived there.
