‘Humanitarian town’ to be established in Almaty
ALMATY. KAZINFORM - August 19 Almaty will carry out "Humanitarian town" campaign, this was reported by the organizers - Kazakhstan Red Crescent Society and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
The event is dedicated to the World Humanitarian Day, which is celebrated annually on August 19. It was established by the UN in 2003. The program of the event includes demonstration of work of local and international humanitarian organizations. Representatives of the Red Crescent Society of Kazakhstan will explain how to reduce the risk of disasters and show techniques of first aid in the event of disasters. This year's World Humanitarian Day will be held under the slogan "The world needs more humanitarian heroes". This day the organizers of the campaign will call Almaty citizens to become unpaid blood donors.
