According to the Pavlodar regional territorial inspection of forestry and wildlife, wild boar and roe deer hunting was previously allowed. However, hoofed animals can only be shot in the presence of a gamekeeper.

“The hunting season for fur-bearing animals, including foxes, corsac foxes and hares, will commence on November 1, 2024 and conclude on February 15, 2025. In order to engage in hunting activities, each hunter is required to possess the following documents: a hunter's ID card, hunting permits or permission to hunt wild animals issued by a hunting organization, permission to carry and store firearms, and a passport for a bird of prey hunter when hunting with birds of prey,” the inspection noted.

Holders of the appropriate permit are allowed to hunt wolves, jackals, crows, magpies, great cormorants, and rooks on the hunting farm grounds.

It is important to note that walking with a firearm in the territory of Bayanaul National Park, the Yertis Ormany nature reserve, the Kyzyltau nature reserve, floodplain of the Irtysh River, hunting grounds reserve fund, and on the lands of settlements, industrial, transport, communication, and defense facilities is prohibited in the Pavlodar region.
