Hyundai, Korea Electric win $100 million order from Kazakhstan
ALMATY. March 2. KAZINFORM Hyundai Engineering Co., Hyundai Corp. and Korea Electric Power Corp. won an order to upgrade power substations in Kazakhstan through 2014, the central Asian country's grid operator said.
The Korean companies signed a 73 million-euro ($100 million) deal in Astana on Feb 23 with AO Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company, the country's main power distributor, Marat Mukhamedsaliyev, a spokesman for the state-owned operator known as Kegoc, said by phone, Kazinform refers to Nariman Gizitdinov, Bloomberg.
