Kazkommertsbank reports on its activity over nine months of 2008

ALMATY. January 9. KAZINFORM Net profit of ?Kazkommertsbank? JSC has increased by 16.6 percent – from KZT 42.8 bln over nine months of 2007 to KZT 49.9 bln over nine months of 2008; Kazinform refers to the bank?s press service.

For this period earnings per share rose from KZT 59.03 to KZT 71.36. The banks? net profit before taxation increased by 30.4 percent against the similar period of the last year ? from KZT 55.2 bln to KZT 71.9 bln. Total assets of the bank fell by 5.4 percent ? from KZT 2.997 bln as of December 31, 2007 to KZT 2.835 bln as of September 30, 2008. Shareholders' equity increased by 9.9 percent ? from KZT 319.2 bln to KZT 350.7 bln.
