Ideas of Kazakhstan’s OSCE chairmanship presented in Warsaw

ASTANA. December 23. KAZINFORM A forum with participation of Chief Foreign Policy Adviser to the Polish President Mariusz Handzlik, executives of the Prime Minister's Office and the Foreign Ministry, a group of Ambassadors representing Central Asian states and states of the Asian-Pacific region in Poland was held in Warsaw, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reports.

Kazakh Ambassador Aleksey Volkov reporting on "Prospects of cooperation of Central Asian states and Eastern Europe within the Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship" informed the participants on prosperous directions of the activity of our country at the post of the OSCE chairman. It was stated that Kazakhstan will strive to contribute to the strengthening of the European security, development of the transport potential, stabilization of the situation in Afghanistan, promotion of interethnic and religious tolerance.

The participants of the forum noted that the European character of the foreign policy and the peacekeeping experience of Kazakhstan will promote settlement of protracted conflicts at the post-soviet space within the OSCE chairmanship. The main purpose of Kazakhstan is preservation and strengthening of trust and mutual understanding between countries to west and eats from Vienna and provision of balance between all three baskets of the OSCE.

The Kazakh Ambassador expressed hope that the leadership experience of Kazakhstan in the OSCE and the country's chairmanship in the Organization of the Islamic Conference in 2011 will promote development of the dialogue between civilizations, mutual understanding between the Leaders of European and Asian countries.
