II International Kyokushinkai Karate Tournament opened in Astana

ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Opening of the II International Kyokushinkai Karate Tournament dedicated to the 10th anniversary of ?Nur Otan? Party took place in Astana last Sunday, Kazinform reports.

Sportsmen from Almaty, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ayaguz, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, Karaganda, Aktau and Astana as well as Kyokushinkai karate school students from five Russian cities took part in the tournament. The tournament covered age categories from 8 to 17 years. According to President of the Kazakh Kyokushinkai Karate Federation Alimzhan Moldagaliyev holding the open tournament let over 200 participants from two countries show their mastery. ?Following the results of the contest we plan to find out what types of Kyokushinkai are developed in the country. This will let the Kazakh Federation together with the Ministry for Tourism and Sport organize United Kazakh Kyokushinkai Tournament amid youth, men and women?, he noted.
