III Summit of Heads of Caspian states kicks off in Baku

BAKU. November 18. KAZINFORM /Arnur Mukhametkarim/ A plenary session of the III Summit of Heads of Caspian states is being held in urban residence of the President of Azerbaijan "Ganjlik".

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev opened and heads the event. He noted necessity of early reaching of consensus on definition of the legal status of the Caspian Sea.

He emphasized that Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia solved the issues regarding division of the Caspian Sea among themselves.

"It is necessary to strengthen economic cooperation of five countries for turning the Caspian Sea to a sea of friendship", I.Aliyev said.
